Robert Burns is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland and his works as well as his life are celebrated around the world. As a pioneer of the romantic movement, his poems have touched countless hearts. Robert Burns was only 37 when he died in 1796. But his unique gift with words and the passion that drove his life have made him immortal.
